<p>Poetry students had an opportunity to work with professional printmaker, Debora Ando last Tuesday. It was a very interesting workshop where students were introduced to the technique of intaglio and etching. Students started creating their own etching plates from an image they had previously designed by engraving into the perspex plate using an etching needle. They  selected their favourite poem as a source of inspiration for their creativity. Here you can see some of the work in progress.</p>

<p>After the completion of this stage students will learn how to ink up the plate using professional intaglio ink Charbonnell, wiping it off and print it using the print press.</p>
