Rhetoric 2012 Key Dates

 

May 5th   [12 noon] ~ July 1st [17.15]

 Change of Mind   facility open on CAO website [Restricted Courses   added to application for the first time are invalid choices and will not be   considered]
June 6th   ~ June 22nd  Leaving Cert   Written Examinations
August 15th   Expected   delivery of Leaving Cert results to schools.
August 20th   - 6am!!! First round   college offers published on CAO website.
August 21st   Leaving Cert   candidates must return completed application forms to view scripts to their   schools.
Friday, August   31st  [6pm – 9pm], Saturday.   September 1st [9am – 12pm] & [2pm – 5pm] Leaving Cert   viewing of scripts.
Monday,   September 3rd  Closing date for   receipt of Leaving Cert appeals applications.
Mid – October Leaving Cert   release of appeal results.

Poetry Mock Interviews 2012

This year’s Poetry Mock Interviews were a resounding success. 

Many thanks to all involved.

  • “I thought it was a great opportunity to really experience – upfront – the situations that will confront us in the very near future and I felt it was a good experience as I can fine tune the mistakes I have made and really prepare for the real deal in time to come.”

  • “It was more difficult than I thought it would be and I was surprised at how nervous I was.  The interviewers were really nice and set me at ease.  I will remember forever some of the things they told me – like my weak handshake!!!”

Poetry Mock Interview Evening 2012

The Belvedere Poetry Mock Interview Evening takes place in the college on Wednesday, April 25th.   Poetry students have submitted CVs and Letters of application in advance; applying for what they hope will be their first choice on the CAO form next year.  84 parents will interview the boys.  Interviews will last 15 minutes.  The student will then be asked to step outside while the interviewers will discuss their performance.  the will then be given verbal feedback and a written evaluation form will be given to the Guidance Counsellor, Mr. O’Leary after the even.  All will be returned to student next week.
