In the current academic year, 2011 – 2012, we have five SEN specialist teachers working within the department.  Ms Audrey Geraghty (nee Doran), Ms Susan McNamara, Ms Anita Kenny, Ms Ellie Gillooly and Ms Val Reilly, who is also the SEN co-ordinator.  Michael McGrath is providing learning support.  Sarah Hanley, Dermot McManus and Kevin Doyle work as Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) in the department for three students who have been assigned an SNA by the NCSE.  We are also in a fortunate position this year, to have a number of mainstream staff working with our students in their specific subject areas to support students in particular areas of difficulty.
